Deputies approve Pfizer vaccine addendum; vaccines reserved for children 12 to 17 years old

The Chamber of Deputies approved the addendum for an additional 2,000,115 doses of Covid-19 vaccine to the contract with Pfizer Free Zone Panam for US$24,001,380. This increases the contract that was originally for 7,999,875 doses dated 29 January 2021. The Abinader administration is purchasing 9,999,990 doses of the vaccine for a total of US$119,999,880. Each unit is priced at US$12. The contract already passed in the Senate.

The vaccines would be used to vaccinate minors 12 to 17 years old.
