Young architect accused of lacing brownies with marijuana and sending these to abortion three grounds protestors

A 27-year old architect admitted to preparing the brownies and sending these to the women camped out in front of the Presidential Palace demanding the including of the three grounds to abortion in the Penal Code. Ninoska Brito Montero explained to National District prosecutors that her objective was to call attention to the protesters’ plight at the Presidential Palace.

Ninoska Brito Montero lives in the Mirador Norte area of Santo Domingo and is now under arrest awaiting preventive custody measures. She said she laced the brownies with marijuana she had purchased for RD$1,000 at a sales point on Av. 27 de Febrero.

She said before sending these by Hugo delivery, she tried the brownies herself and experienced a happy yet relaxed feeling. She never expected the brownies to intoxicate people. Around a dozen persons were intoxicated, including SIN press crews that were at the camp when the Hugo delivery man came with the gift to the campers. The gift of food was nothing out of the ordinary because the campers constantly were receiving donations from their supporters.

Brito says she was surprised when the next day she found out 10 people had been intoxicated.
