Hundreds of thousands of parents will be pleased to note that the Ministry of Education has plans to provide books both in paper and digital forms for the school year scheduled to begin in September 2021. This is good news for the home budget of thousands of households.
Education Minister Roberto Fulcar says that it has been seven years since the Ministry of Education had contracted to revise the textbooks to be used in public schools. He said he is a firm believer in creating good reading habits for everyone. This, in a nation of over ten million that publishes less than 500,000 newspapers a day.
Fulcar noted that not all of the books will be printed for the next year. Many of these will be available over the Internet.
Fulcar also announced a major push to teach foreign languages at all levels.
The Ministry of Education has acquired over 800,000 tablets for students, and they have over 200 technicians working on the digital content.
