Alianza Pais deputy José Horacio Rodríguez (National District) said he did not accept the RD$300,000 that the Chamber of Deputies allotted to each legislator for Mother’s Day gifts to their constituents. Rodriguez said he did not accept the money because it is not part of his attributions. He said his position is personal and is also the position of the Alianza Pais political party. He said he and his fellow party member Pedro Martinez had rejected the privilege.
