President Luis Abinader and National District Mayor Carolina Mejía participated on Monday, 28 June 2021 in the announcement that a public-private initiative has been created to improve the chaotic intersection known as Duarte con Paris in Santo Domingo. President Abinader said a first phase of the project calls for an investment of US$1 million from the private sector to improve the flow of traffic and create a better shopping experience. President Abinader said the National District mayor’s office has plans to extend the project to the Duarte Bridge.
