Italy beat the Dominican Republic 79-59 in the first semi-finals in the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament taking place in Belgrade, Serbia. The DR had already lost to Serbia in the quest for a spot in the 12-team Men’s Basketball Tournament at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Italy led by 20 points towards the end of the third quarter (64-44) and never looked back
