
The corpses of two pilots that died in a small airplane crash in the south of Haiti were sent to the Dominican Republic on 5 July 2021. Dominican consular officers received the corpses of Amin Abel Perez and Ronny Cedano Beras. The deceased worked as pilots in Haiti.
They were on board a six-seater monomotor Piper Cherokee plane with US registry that reported a flight from Port-au-Prince to Jacmel. The corpses were transferred at the border of Jimaní to Ministry of Defense ambulances. Reports are that two Haitians, a Venezuelan and a US citizen also died in the crash.
The investigations into the cause of the accident are the responsibility of the Haitian authorities.
