Dominicans are backing the efforts of President Luis Abinader in office since August 2020. The Political Communications Association (ACOP) reports that Abinader is the third best-rated president in the world with 68% acceptance. The rating is based on assessments carried out using Gallup pollster data collected through May 2021.
As reported, the top three rated heads of government are Ecuador’s President Guillermo Lasso with 71% approval rating, German Chancellor Angela Merkel with 69% and then President Luis Abinader with 68%.
