
Despite this being a pandemic year, the Dominican Republic can boast a 28% increase in its exports for January to June 2021. The volume of exports is also greater than in the pre-pandemic year of 2019.
Exports for January to June 2021 were US$5.75 billion, according to the Customs Agency. Of the total, 60.16% were free zone regime exports. 41.03% were exports of raw materials, 17.60% consumer goods.
