Dr. Evangelina Soler, the president of the Dominican Neumology Society said that the important declines in new cases and active Covid-19 cases should not be seen as the disease is under control and the downward trend will continue. She said that the Delta variant could bring an upward spike at any time, as has occurred abroad.
She urged the population to keep to the preventive measures of masking, hand hygiene and not gathering, as well as encouraging all to be fully vaccinated.
