Expect a cloudy and rainy day with thunderstorms nationwide as a fast-passing tropical wave wraps the Dominican Republic on Monday, 9 August 2021. The National Meteorological Office (Onamet) forecasts the heavy rains will affect provinces in the northeast, southeast, Greater Santo Domingo, Central Mountain Range (Cibao) and border provinces. The rains are expected to diminish by the evening and there will be less rain on Tuesday as the sun shines again
