Iberostar Costa Dorada announced that given the fast response of fire units in Puerto Plata, the fire that affected the resort on Tuesday, 10 August was promptly put out. The fire affected the roof of the auditorium of the resort. No guest or staff were injured in the event. The resort reported the accommodations nor the public spaces of the hotel outside of the auditorium were affected.
Iberostar Costa Dorada’s neighboring hotel, the Be Live Collection Marien reported that no damages had occurred at the property. The hotel said that the fire absolutely did not affect the service areas and the hotel continued operating at full capacity.
