Banco Popular campaign wins Stevie Awards prize

Banco Popular Dominicano’s institutional advertising campaign “El Lado Positivo” (The Positive Side) won the gold medal for the best Communications and Public Relations Campaign in the Public Service of the Year category at the 18th edition of the prestigious Stevie® Awards.

A jury composed of 260 executives assessed the campaign as “a great contribution to the community”, for being “a sample of empathetic capacity,” “inspiring” and “a good quality work, with good results.”

The prize was awarded for being a beautiful piece of communication, with a song that is so uplifting and the sentiment is so positive, that it allows addressing an important public issue such as overcoming the health and depression problems resulting from the covid-19 pandemic.

The campaign was carried out by the local advertising agency Cazar3. The Banco Popular campaign won in the category of The 2021 International Business Awards — Communications or PR Campaign of the Year – Public Service.

The Stevie® Awards are the world’s premier business awards. They were created in 2002 to honor and generate public recognition of the achievements and positive contributions of organizations and working professionals worldwide.
