The Ministry of Public Administration notified centralized and decentralized government institutions on 24 August 2021 that these need to send in reports as to how many on their staff is missing to get vaccinated. The intention is that all in government have received the first, second and booster shots as required. Public Health Minister Dario Castillo Lugo said the request is in line with the importance that government workers have in the achieving of the objectives of the National Vaccination Plan that began in February 2021. The government seeks that 60% of the population be fully vaccinated in time for the start of in-person learning by 20 September.
The government institutions need to send the list with how many public employees are missing to receive the vaccinations in each government department or agency by 31 August 2021. The entities need to report if they need MAP to assist in coordinating the installation of mobile vaccination units for their collaborators and their families.
