
The court sentencing in the US$92 million Odebrecht bribes case will be heard on Thursday, 14 October 2021. Judges Giselle Méndez, Tania Yunes and Jissel Naranjo of the First Collegiate Court of the National District concluded the case on Thursday, 30 September 2021. The accused Ángel Rondón, Víctor Díaz Rúa, Andrés Bautista García, Tommy Galán, Roberto Rodríguez Hernández, and Conrado Pittaluga asked for the cases against them to be dismissed.
The US$92 million bribes case began on 26 December 2016 under then Attorney General Jean Alain Rodriguez.
The Public Prosecutor’s Office accuses the group of bribery, association of wrongdoers, prevarication, embezzlement, illicit enrichment and money laundering.
