Macao Beach access road and parking improved

The Ministry of Tourism announced it is spending RD$53 million to improve the access road and parking facilities for 104 vehicles, and build an area for motorcycles and busses in Macao Beach in northern Punta Cana. Tourism Minister David Collado said the works will have an impact on the economy of the small merchants in the area.

Rafael Blanco and Paola Rainieri, president and former president of the National Association of Hotels and Tourism of the Dominican Republic (Asonahores) were present for the groundbreaking for the new infrastructure.

An estimated 200,000 tourists, foreign and local, visit Macao Beach every year.
