Major League Baseball donates US$300,000 to improve 30 Dominican baseball stadiums

Most Major League Baseball (MLB) teams have sports academies in the Dominican Republic with several baseball fields. Yesterday, Jorge Perez Diaz, international vice president for MLB signed an agreement with the Ministry of Sports for the donating of US$300,000 to be used for improvements in baseball fields and stadiums in 30 provinces, not including the major stadiums.

Perez Díaz said MLB approved a proposal presented by Junior Noboa, National Baseball Commissioner. Perez Díaz said MLB commissioner Rob Manfred approved the proposal as soon as he read it.
