
The organizers of Miss Universe Dominican Republic announced the postponing of the pageant from Sunday, 31 October to Sunday, 7 November 2021. The reason is that the organizer, Magali Febles, has had to undergo surgery. The contest is scheduled to be broadcast on Color Vision, Channel 9, from 9 to 11pm. The event is scheduled for Jet Set Disco in Santo Domingo.
“We thank everyone for their understanding, so we count on the support of all the followers who have been waiting for months for a new queen”, reads the press release.
The 54th edition of the contest will feature 15 candidates one of which will be chosen to represent the Dominican Republic in the 70th anniversary of Miss Universe. The pageant this year will be held in Eilat, Israel on 12 December 2021. Participants are required to present proof they are fully vaccinated.
