
The government electricity utilities (EdeNorte, EdeSur and EdeEste) will be applying rate increases as of 1 November 2021. The government has announced the dismantling of the subsidy to the tariffs with adjustments scheduled to be made upwards every three months until 2026.
A report in Diario Libre says this translates in tariff increase of RD$25.27 to RD$79.38 per customer, depending on consumption.
