President Luis Abinader removed engineer Serafin Canario de la Rosa from his role of general manager of the Punta Catalina thermoelectric power plant. The government-owned power plant is the largest in the country. Decree 679-21 repeals Decree 351-20 dated 17 August 2020 that had appointed Canario de la Rosa to the position.
