Vice President Raquel Peña announced in Spain the Dominican government actions to benefit the Dominican community in Spain. Dominicans in Spain can now benefit from the Premium Senasa health insurance and housing programs under the Ministry of Housing in the Dominican Republic. Scholarships for study in Spain are also being offered. During her visit in Spain, Peña spoke at the 30th Anniversary of Iberoamerican Summits event.
Peña is also visiting Qatar on her first trip abroad since she took office on 16 August 2020. In Qatar she will participate in the Second Dominican Week in Qatar and will meet with the Association of Qatar Business Women. On her agenda are visits with the Qatar Investment Authority, the Hamad Trauma Center, as well as the Katara Cultural Center. She is scheduled to return on 20 November 2021.
