Ministry of Culture announces Christmas shows

Culture Minister Milagros German says the Ministry of Culture has scheduled 10 nights of Christmas entertaining starting Thursday, 9 December 2021 through 19 December 2021. Lots of events will take place in the Colonial City and Plaza de la Cultura.

In addition to Christmas music presentations, there will be free tours in the Colonial City, arts and craft show, activities for children, among others.

The National Fair of Dominican Handicrafts will take place at the Plaza España in the Colonial City. The National Choir, public school children’s band, typical music band from Mao, the Caribe Urbano group of the Capotillo public school, performance of the group Pororó, and Pavel Núñez in big band format are scheduled for performances in the majestic Plaza España esplanade.

The Dominican National Ballet will perform Carmen Suite in Plaza España. Also on the agenda is a Christmas Symphonic Concert, with the National Youth Symphony Orchestra. The concert, “El legado del Caballo”, with Johnny Ventura’s son, Jandy Ventura.

“Navidad en Bellas Artes” will be staged at the Palacio de Bellas Artes. “Mi Cultura Navideña” will bring musical presentations to the Sabana Perdida subway station (Teleférico T3).

A Long Night of Museums is also programmed for this December.
