Inespre tells what it’s up to; announces Christmas combos

The Dominican Price Stabilization Institute (Inespre) is a decades-old agency that serves both farmers and consumers. In the beginning, back in 1969, Inespre would purchase almost the entire harvest of consumer goods such as garlic, rice and beans to ensure a measure of price stabilization. The agency has certainly had its ups and downs, but the Abinader administration has again provided it with sufficient funding to ensure budget-friendly produce once again for the family.

As reported, there are currently over 7,000 mobile bodegas and 1,200 farmer’s markets that sell produce from over 800 farmers. These entities serve over 6 million persons every week, according to sources. Prices are most frequently below supermarket prices and colmado prices.

Currently, Inespre is inviting the population to join in on the Great Christmas Fair that will be held on the grounds of the old Herrera airport that ran parallel to Luperon Avenue. The date is 14-16 December 2021 from 8am to 5pm. Christmas dinner combos will be sold for RD$500.
