The Association of Industries of the Dominican Republic (AIRD) recently recognized the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and MSMEs with the Award for Institutional Work in Support of the Industrial Sector. With this recognition, the AIRD highlights the new contributions, support and defense of the national industry at the Ministry now under Minister Victor (Ito) Bisonó.
The ministry has become the first in the Abinader administration to receive the ISO 9001-2015 Quality Management System certification that establishes the department is in line with the government program and institutional objectives.
The recent numbers show an increase in export free zone manufacturing companies, increases in foreign direct investment and overall increases in exports.
