The director of the School of Prosecutors of the Supreme Court of Justice, Marien Montero Beard has been identified as the person who appears in a video made by the security assigned to accompany former Attorney General Jean Alain Rodríguez Sanchez to the Abel Gonzalez for a medical check up. Rodriguez is in preventive custody at the Najayo Jail.
Investigative journalist Altagracia Salazar criticizes that the woman violated the protocols and rules and set a bad example for her students in doing so. The woman appears on a video inquiring to the security “you don’t know who I am,” and taking a video of the agents who asked her to identify herself repeatedly.
Montero Beard is known as a close collaborator to Rodriguez Sanchez in his previous position at the Center for Promotion of Investment and Exports (CEI-RD, today Pro Dominicana) and moved to the Attorney General Office shortly after being promoted to director of the school of prosecutors, the Instituto de Educación Superior de la Escuela del Ministerio Público in January 2020. Once she was appointed, she directed a contest to select 180 more prosecutors for the Attorney General Office.
