The Dominican Federation of Chambers of Commerce (Fedocámaras) and ProDominicana (formerly CEI-RD) reached an agreement to promote actions for exports and investment. The agreement also calls for the drafting of provincial profiles on productive investment capacities and the potential of each province. The plan is that ProDominicana can use the platform and network of Fedocámaras to promote the new policies in place to stimulate investment and exports.
“We want to increase the competitiveness of our country and we are sure that, working together with suitable institutions, we will achieve our objectives,” said Biviana Riveiro.
Riveiro emphasized that the close collaboration between the public and private sectors seeks to create the tools for producers to have the capacity and knowledge required for the insertion of their products in international markets, in addition to being able to identify their needs and opportunities to be more competitive and have a greater presence in these markets.
Manuel Luna, president of Fedocamaras, is convinced that the long-term rapprochement between the public and private sectors will develop a national export culture.
