US National Transportation Safety Board technicians will recreate fatal Helidosa flight

The president of the Dominican Civil Aviation Board (JAC) Jose Marte Piantini said that the two black boxes of the Helidosa Aviation Gulfstream jet were sent to the US National Transportation Safety Board in Washington D.C. to determine the causes of the 15 December 2021 aviation accident. Six US citizens died when the plane crash landed at Las Americas International Airport.

The devices record all relevant flight data and conversations in the cockpit. The data will be analyzed to recreate the flight happenings.

In addition to the six US citizens, three crew — two Dominicans and a Venezuelan pilot — also died in the accident.

The family of the deceased Dominican pilot had requested to be included in the investigations.
