
The Ministry of Public Administration issued Note No. 0036969 on 29 December 2021 mandating that all Executive Branch employees present their Covid-19 vaccination card with three doses to enter their workplaces as of 31 January 2022. The mandate is in compliance with Resolution No. 69 issued by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP) in December 2021 Government workers need to deposit a copy of their vaccination card with the Human Resources Department where they are employed. The measure is signed by Minister of Public Administration, Dario Castillo Lugo.
The measure indicates that public servants who have not received the three doses of the vaccine by 31 January 2022, need to submit to the Human Resources Department of the entity where they are employed, every Monday, first thing in the morning, a negative result of a PCR test taken on the previous Saturday or Sunday by the MSP or an authorized laboratory to be allowed entry to the workplace.
Public employees who for medical reasons cannot be vaccinated, must present before the Human Resources Department where employed, a special permit issued by the Ministry of Public Health, in accordance with paragraph I of article three of Resolution No. 000069 of the MSP.
Those in violation are subject to receive from a reprimand to the firing from the job, as established in Art. 81 of the Public Employees Law 41-08.
