
Legendary Dominican composer-singer Juan Luis Guerra has taken up residence at Hard Rock Punta Cana Resort where he will perform four live concerts in February 2022. The concerts are serving as the launching of the artist’s new global tour entitled “Entre Mar y Palmeras.”
The concerts mark the end to two years of online concerts by Juan Luis Guerra and 440. The concerts are inspired by his most recent album and will be open air.
The presentations come shortly after Juan Luis Guerra was honored with the most nominations for the Latin Recording Academy Awards (Latin Grammys) in his career, with six nominations.
Juan Luis Guerra eventually shared honors with Camilo of Colombia as the big winners at the 22nd Latin Grammy Awards on 18 November 2021 at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena. Both Latin artists won four awards. And Juan Luis Guerra was the song writer of one of Camilo’s awards. The ceremony recognized outstanding Latin music that was released between 1 June 2020 and 31 May 2021.
Guerra now has 24 Latin Grammy wins and 40 total nominations to date. His first win was in 2000.
