If you just had Covid-19, you should wait to get booster shot, says Ministry of Public Health

The Ministry of Public Health is changing its recommendation from a one month wait to one to three months for those who recently have caught Covid-19 and had not received the booster shot.

After testing positive to Covid-19, for the application of a third booster dose, the Ministry of Public Health is now advising people to wait between one and three months.

The Ministry of Public Health says that those who have received a monoclonal drug should wait 90 days before applying a dose of the vaccine against the coronavirus.

The recommendations are in Resolution 005-2022 that amends Resolution 69-2021 that had mandated all adults to receive the booster vaccine by 31 January 2022. The Ministry of Public Health extended the deadline for the booster to 21 February 2022. A fourth vaccine is optional.

The Ministry of Public Health recommends that those who have two Sinovac or AstraZeneca vaccines, get a Pfizer. Those that have two Pfizers should get a Sinovac or AstraZeneca vaccine.
