Public prosecution submitted deputy Gregorio Domínguez Domínguez (PRM-Santiago) to the Supreme Court of Justice for acting to destroy private property in the Punta Rucia beach area in Puerto Plata on the north coast. The case is heard by judge Vanessa Acosta in the Supreme Court of Justice because legislator cases receive privileged jurisdiction. As reported, the ruling party deputy sent two of his employees to destroy the dwelling in the beach area, where he owns property.
Dominguez joins another five ruling party legislators whose cases are under investigation. Other ruling party legislators with legal cases against them for drug trafficking, asset laundering or altering identity documents are Rosa Amalia Pilarte (La Vega), Miguel Gutiérrez Díaz and Luis René Fernández Tavárez (Santiago). Also Héctor Darío Féliz Féliz and Faustina Guerrero Cabrera, whose case is still pending the assigning of a Supreme Court of Justice judge.
