With a day of free transportation, the Metropolitan Bus Services Office (Omsa) begins the operations of its Abraham Lincoln corridor on Monday, 14 February 2022.
Thirty-five buses will be making 46 stops on the route. The fare is RD$15. Fares are being collected in cash, but by Tuesday, 1 March only electronic payments are accepted – SDgo cards, Metro cards, debit and credit cards. The fares on the Abraham Lincoln bus north-south route contrast with those of the two nearby Av. Winston Churchill corridor where bus fares are RD$35.
According to Omsa director Radhamés González, the buses depart the Los Ríos ring road towards Av. República de Colombia, pass by the Botanical Garden, Av. Los Próceres and go down Abraham Lincoln Avenue to Correa y Cidrón Avenue, on to Churchill Avenue towards Centro de los Héroes, in La Feria, from where they will return.
