President Luis Abinader received Hollywood actress Zoe Saldaña at the Presidential Palace on Friday, 11 February 2022. Saldaña was with her husband, children, mother and in-laws.
Saldaña is the second highest-grossing film actress of all times as of 2019, as reported in Wikipedia. She began her actress career when performing in the film Center Stage (2000), then starred as Nyota Uhura in the Star Trek film series, and later in the Avatar film series, among other star performances.
She was born in New Jersey and is the daughter of a Puerto Rican mother and Dominican father. When her father died in a car crash when she was nine, the family moved to the Dominican Republic where she received ballet training. Saldaña says the training at Ecos dance studio made the difference in her career.
