The head of the Presidential Security Corps (Cusep) Major General Celín Rubio Terrero, was hospitalized on Monday, 14 February afternoon after suffering a cerebral stroke, as reported in the media. The medical report is that he suffered a hypertensive crisis and a cerebral hemorrhagic event when participating in a staff meeting. He is in charge of the protection of President Luis Abinader,
The major general was admitted to the Central Hospital of the Armed Forces, where he was diagnosed with a cerebral cavernoma and hypertensive heart disease. The hospital reports his health condition is stable.
On the job, he was temporarily replaced by Colonel Jemmy Arias Grullón, who is the deputy in charge of the security of the head of state at the Cusep.
