José Francisco López Chavez, ruling Modern Revolutionary Party deputy for the province of Valverde, died on Tuesday, 15 February 2022, after a struggle to survive a heart attack. He was taken to the HOMS in Santiago on Saturday, 12 February, but did not recover.
López Chavez suffered from leucemia and obesity. His overall health was impacted by a bout with Covid-19 in 2021.
