Dancer, choreographer and actress Patricia Ascuasiati reportedly suffered a major car accident in Duarte Highway Km 40 when she returned to Santo Domingo from Montecristi with her friend, fellow fellow fellow ballerina Marylouise Ventura on 16 February 2022. Ascuasiati suffered injuries in the pelvis, collarbone and is interned in the Plaza de la Salud in Santo Domingo. The hospital says she is stable.
