The judge hearing her case ordered Mary Louise Ventura serve three months of preventive custody in Najayo Jail as her case is prepared. She is accused of voluntary homicide against her long time very close friend, fellow dancer Patricia Ascuasiati. The confusing incident occurred on 15 February 2022, when the two returned from a trip to Montecristi. Ventura is accused of running over her friend. Ascuasiati suffered major injuries and is hospitalized. Both are former leading Dominican dancers and senior citizens.
