The country’s prime intercity bus line wants to help Dominicans to get to know their country. Caribe Tours is the largest Dominican passenger transportation company. Now Caribe Tours purchased 42 modern buses for customized excursions.
Caribe Tours president Jose Hernández, executive vice president Paul Guerrero and the director of the new “Get to Know Your Country” program, Katty Valdez, launched the new service last week.
“Today we present ‘Conoce tu País’ to promote this industry, to create specialized jobs, to offer the Dominican family a space of opportunity to discover all our charms. At the same time, we will be a professional platform for international tourism,” said Paul Guerrero when introducing the new services.
The director of “Conoce tu País”, Katty Valdez, said they are offering personalized excursions to Cabrera and Río San Juan, Montecristi, Samaná. There is also tobacco and rum routes taking tourists east and to Santiago. And another to Barahona and Pedernales. Customized tours are also available to Puerto Plata.
