The death of Patricia Ascuasiasti was confirmed at 3:50 p.m. this Wednesday afternoon. She had an outstanding career of more than 35 years as a dancer, choreographer and actress.
The General Plaza de la Salud Hospital confirmed the death of the dancer and actress Patricia Ascuasiasti at 3:50pm. She died of major injuries. Her close friend and fellow dancer, Mary Louise Ventura is accused of running her over and attempted homicide. This month, a court sentenced Ventura to preventive custody for three months. The death of Ascuasiasti worsens the legal situation for Ventura that can now be accused of voluntary murder.
Ascuasiasti had been in the hospital for 21 days after the incident that occurred when the two friends returned from Montecristi and stopped to change drivers in Villa Altagracia, around 40 km north of the capital city where they were returning to.
