Just a month after the surveillance system was installed in Haina Port, the powerful x-ray scanner detected an attempted contraband of television sets.
482 smart TVs were detected by the modern Rapiscan model Eagle P60-S in place since 9 February 2022 at the HIT Puerto Río Haina, a donation made by the cargo terminal operator to the Customs Agency.
Customs is carrying out the necessary investigations to determine the circumstances under which these devices were imported without adequate reporting compliance.
