Education Minister Roberto Fulcar has denied politics has anything to do with the contracting of public school teachers. Nevertheless, Diario Libre reports that Jose Sanchez, who is the president of the ruling Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) in Santo Domingo East and a former director of the Instituto Tecnologico Superior Comunitario (ITSC), met with dozens of teachers who had recently been appointed to swear them in as part of the electoral campaign movements of the party.
