It has been raining intensely since Sunday, 28 March 2022 and now the Weather Office (Onamet) says more rains can be expected on Wednesday due to the stationary front. There is a yellow alert for the provinces of Puerto Plata, Santiago, La Vega and Espaillat (Moca). There is a green alert for Valverde, Santiago Rodriguez, Montecristi, Dajabón, María Trinidad Sanchez (Nagua), Duarte (San Francisco de Macorís), Samana, Hermanas Mirabal, Monseñor Nouel (Bonao) and the Santo Domingo and National District (Greater Santo Domingo)
The rains will happen during the day and evening.
The same front system that is moving south from the United States is bringing “chilly” temperatures of 18-22 degrees Celsius to most cities during the early morning hours.
