Concert in honor of Margarita Copello

The National Symphony Orchestra and Fundación Sinfonía are inviting to celebrate the legacy of the late former director and inspiration of the National Symphony Orchestra, Margarita Copello de Rodríguez. Several of her favorite classical music pieces will be played on the evening of Wednesday, 6 April 2022 at the main hall of the National theater.

Award-winning Ukrainian pianist, 28-year old Dmytro Choni has returned to play that evening. The program for the evening is Sergei Rachamaninoff’s Piano Concert No. 2, Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet (Fantasy Overture) and Pietro Mascagni’s Intermezzo from Cavalleria Rusticana. The orchestra wil be directed by Maestro Jose Antonio Molina.

The event is a benefit for education programs of the Fundacion Sinfonia.

The event is Wednesday, 6 April 2022 at 8:30pm at the main hall of the National Theater. Ticets are for sale at Fundacion Sinfonia, Uepa Tickets and the National Theater. Write boleteria@sinfonia.org.do or call 809 532-6600. Tickets are also for sale at Supermercados Nacional, Jumbo and CCN stores. Tickets cost from RD$1,000 to RD$5,000.
