The National Drug Control Agency (DNCD) reports seizing 810 packages of a substance presumed to be cocaine in southeastern San Pedro de Macoris. The would-be narcotics were confiscated in a joint operation of the DNCD, the Armada and state intelligence agencies, coordinated by members of the Public Prosecutor’s Office. The maritime and land interdiction operation was deployed on the coast of San Pedro de Macoris. The 810 packages were on board a 28-foot speedboat that would have arrived from South America, according to the DNCD.
Three unnamed persons were arrested for violation of Narcotics Law 50-88.
