
Santo Domingo is drawing star Latin performers that have included a stop in the Dominican capital city as they go on their global tours as cities open up with the decline of Covid-19 cases. Visit the city and it is likely there will be a top-notch performer entertaining crowds at one of the many venues in the city.

Raphael de España: 26-27 April 2022 at the National Theater
Raphael de España celebrates his 60th year as a performer with a concert at the National Theater. The legendary Spanish ballad singer is on the global tour marking his 60 years on stage.
The dates are Tuesday, 26 April and Wednesday, 27 April at 8:30pm. Tickets are for sale online at Uepa Tickets, at the box office of the National Theater that is located at Av. Máximo Gómez and at ticket booths at CCN stores (Supermercados Nacional, Jumbo and Cuesta del Hogar).

Joan Manuel Serrat is on his goodbye tour
One of the most legendary Spanish ballad composer-singers of all times, Joan Manuel Serrat has included Santo Domingo in his career goodbye concert, “El Vicio de Cantar”. The concert will be Wednesday, 4 and Thursday, 5 May 2022 at the National Theater at 8:30pm.

Emmanuel booked for 7 May at the National Theater
Today 65-years old, Mexican ballet singer Emmanuel will be singing “Chica de Humo,” “Todo se derrumbó,” “Al final,” “Insoportablemente bella” and “El día que puedas” in Santo Domingo.
His performance is booked at the National Theater on Saturday, 7 May 2022 at 8:30pm. His concert “Toda la vida Emmanuel,” brings back most of his best hits during his 45-year career. He recently won a Latin Grammy. He has also received the Billboard Latin Music Lifetime Achievement Award.

Alejandro Sanz at the Quisqueya Ball Park on 7 May
The Quisqueya Ball Park opens on Saturday, 7 May 2022 for the Alejandro Sanz performance. The 53-year old Spanish singer has won 22 Latin Grammy Awards and four Grammy Awards. He has received the Latin Grammy for Album of the Year three times. He is best known for his flamenco-influenced ballads, but he has also sings pop, rock, funk, R&B and jazz. He won the Billboard Latin Award in 2006 for his co-production “La Tortura” with Shakira.

Carlos Vives at the Palacio de los Deportes
Colombian Carlos Vives presents “Despues de Todo Vives” on Saturday, 14 May 2022 at the Palacio de los Deportes in Santo Domingo. The 60-year old Colombian singer, songwriter and actor. He is best known for his singing in the Colombian genre, “vallenato”.
