Lonely Planet tells its readers that it’s easy and cost-effective to get around in the Dominican Republic. The famous travel guide and website stresses that it is easy to get around from beach to beach in the Dominican Republic. Lonely Planet extolls the “efficient highway system” that links robust network of roads links towns and cities to villages and beaches along more than 1,288 km of coastline. The Lonely Planet feature says travelers can rent a car or travel by commuter buses that serve the country.
