President Luis Abinader returned last night to the Dominican Republic, arriving last night on a Condor flight to Punta Cana. President Abinader had traveled on 20 May and returned on 25 May 2022. In Switzerland, he participated in Geneva in events of the World Health Organization and in Davos, in the World Economic Forum. At Punta Cana International, he was received by Vice President Raquel Peña.
The Presidency reports that on Thursday, 26 May 2022, President Abinader will be in Pedernales, to follow up with his administration’s tourism development project. On his agenda is a 10:30am kick-off of the construction of the Cabo Rojo Port. He is also scheduled to preside over the groundbreaking ceremony for the water and sanitation works for the tourism development project on the Cabo Rojo road.
