Fans of Dominican Olympic track star Marileidy Paulino will be able to see her run live when she competes at the National Superior Athletics Competition in her hometown Bayaguana at the end of 25 and 26 June 2022, Diario Libre reports.
Meanwhile, the media is following up on the plight of Paulino to ensure her coach, Yaseen Perez, can accompany on her competitions abroad. Perez is a Cuban national. Paulino is lobbying for her coach to get Dominican residence or Dominican nationality to facilitate his visa issues when traveling abroad.
Paulino recently won two golds in 400 and 200m in the Iberoamerican Athletics Championship in Alicante, Spain.
