Mexican company to develop Cabo Rojo Cruise Ship Port in Pedernales

Mexican cruise port developer ITM Group has been chosen to develop the Cabo Rojo Cruise Ship Port in Pedernales. The public-private alliance calls for a US$98 million investment. President Abinader is optimistic Pedernales will become the best destination for cruise ships in all the Caribbean. Construction on the Port was begun on Thursday, 26 May 2022, when President Abinader visited the site.

ITM is a leisure, housing and entertainment space developer from Mexico. It operates Costa Maya Port in Mexico. The company operates the Taino Bay cruise ship port in Puerto Plata, where mostly Royal Caribbean ships dock. The company also has a major stake in the Port of Roatan in Honduras.
