“This National Innovation Policy 2030 that we present today has been built through a broad citizen participation process that involved more than 3,500 people and public, private and academic organizations,” said the President.

“We have set the goal of increasing 1% of GDP in innovation, development and research; the creation and capitalization of the Innovation Support Fund (FAI), the creation of a national network of public-private Incubators for the promotion of innovative work in all corners of the country,” said the President.

At the event, Bartolomé Pujals spoke of the actions that will be undertaken in the country to back creative, innovative ideas and entrepreneurs. As part of the plan, traditional high schools are being transformed into polytechnics and scientific high schools.
